The 8th High-Waist Tapered Leggings — Apricot

A legging that holds.

220 gsm with a wide contoured high waist, a tapered leg and contrast seams down the outside. Deep enough at the rise, firm through the thigh, narrow at the ankle. It stays put and it stays where you put it.

Most leggings fail in one of two places: the waistband rolls down, or the fabric goes thin. This one is built to avoid both.

The high waist is a wide contoured band, cut high and deep rather than as a narrow strip, with a dipped seam at the back so it sits flat against the spine instead of gaping. A diamond gusset at the crotch gives the panel the room to move without pulling. The leg is tapered — fitted through the thigh and hip, narrowing to a clean ankle hem — so it reads as a legging rather than a tight trouser.

The detail you notice first is the contrast seam running down the outside of each leg, a fine piped line that breaks up the silhouette and gives the panel a tailored edge rather than a plain tube. On the navy and the light apricot it reads as a pale pinstripe; on the black and the wine it's a tonal line.

Fabric is 220 gsm — a substantial knit for the weight, with enough body to hold shape through a day's wear and enough stretch to move.

Wear them for training, or under a knit and a long coat on a cold day — the tapered leg means they layer without bunching at the ankle.

Tapstitch doesn't sew a label into these — close-fitting activewear is excluded, to keep the inside surface smooth against the skin. So instead, the Bramble & Eighth wordmark is printed small and tonal on the back waistband — in the panel where a label would have sat.

Fit & sizing

Fitted and tapering to the ankle, with a deep high waist. Compression comes from the knit, not from sizing down — take your usual size; sizing down will pull the waistband and the gusset out of line.
